What a better way to start our tour day than with a tasty little treat. After picking you up from your Waikiki hotel, our first stop is at one of Hawaii’s local favorite’s in Waikele, Leonard’s Malasadas.

A malasada is a Portuguese doughnut without a hole, fried until golden brown and rolled in sugar, these light and fluffy treats are “ono” (delicious) and have been a local favorite since 1953. Leonard’s started making these treats as part of a tradition for Shove Tuesday otherwise known as “Fat Tuesday.”
